About the Network
On the 10th December 2014, UFI launched a new
initiative to support its members, the HR Manager Network. This one-day meeting
was very much appreciated by its exclusive group of 22 participants
representing 12 countries around the table. The core topic of this meeting was
"Generation Y - why different".

UFI is very keen to better understand the needs
and challenges of HR managers in the exhibition industry and to create a bridge
of communication and support. During the gathering participants voiced their
need for such networking platform and raised interest in exchanging best
practices and meet once a year. UFI is very eager to further develop this
initiative and to welcome more HR managers and directors in the near future.
After the participant’s suggestions, UFI will engage with the network through
the UFI Education LinkedIn group and plan the next meeting on "HR Managers
as marketers" for December 2015.

The survey was conducted in November 2014 among
HR managers of UFI member companies. HR managers of the exhibition industry
rated trends which could influence tomorrow’s HR management, evaluated methods
to prepare the future workforce, assess competences import for the exhibition
industry and more.
